The resort activities desk can arrange for an extra charge: snorkelling, scuba diving, parasailing, jet skis, sport fishing, and windsurfing. Nearby is a championship golf course, and the Mandara Spa which combines relaxation and rejuvenation.

Located just three miles from Oranjestad, Aruba's capital, the resort is convenient to the lovely Dutch architecture and abundant shopping. Nearby, guests can hike to caves painted with ancient, mysterious Arawak Indian petroglyphs, or take thrilling horseback rides along the island's sandy beaches.

The rooms and suites at the Marriott are the most spacious in Aruba. All rooms have a 100 sq ft balcony, air conditioning, minibar, cable television, telephone with voicemail and data port,in-room safe, walk-in closet, daily newspaper, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, and in-room coffee. Nonsmoking and handicapped accessible rooms are also available.

Standard Rooms are appointed with all the amenities of a Marriott resort, so are much nicer than "standard." They are available with either one king or two double beds. Island View Rooms are identical to the standard, but have tropical views.

Deluxe Oceanview are beautiful, large rooms are located on the upper floors of the hotel. They are available with one king or two double beds, and have a sitting area and private balcony with outstanding ocean views.

Executive King Suites face the corners of the north and south towers,with ocean views from their wraparound terraces. Bedrooms have two king beds, and can be connected with an adjoining Deluxe Oceanview room to create a large suite.
